Professional cleaning for UPVC fascias, soffits, and bargeboards. Remove algae, dirt, and staining to restore your roofline.
Fascias and soffits are easy to forget about. They're up high, out of sight, and most people don't think about them until they start looking grubby. But dirty fascias make your whole property look neglected, even if everything else is spotless. Green algae streaks, black mould spots, and general grime build up over time.
We clean fascias and soffits across Dublin every week. Most are UPVC—white plastic that's supposed to be maintenance-free but still gets dirty. The transformation is often dramatic—what looked grey and tired comes up bright white again.

We clean fascias and soffits across Dublin every week. Most are UPVC—white plastic that's supposed to be maintenance-free but still gets dirty. Older properties have painted timber fascias that need gentler handling. Both types respond well to professional cleaning when it's done properly. The transformation is often dramatic—what looked grey and tired comes up bright white again.
Algae is the main culprit. It thrives in damp conditions and spreads across UPVC surfaces, leaving green or black streaks. Moss spores from the roof wash down and settle on fascias. Dirt and pollution stick to the surface, especially in urban areas. Over time, it all builds up into a layer of grime that makes white fascias look grey or green.
Soffits get dirty too, though they're less visible from ground level. Cobwebs accumulate in the vents. Dust and dirt settle on the surface. If gutters are overflowing, dirty water splashes onto soffits and leaves staining. It's all part of the same problem—exterior trim that's exposed to the elements and gradually deteriorates in appearance.

UPVC fascias can handle moderate pressure washing without issues. The plastic is durable and won't be damaged by water or cleaning solutions. Painted timber fascias need much gentler treatment. Too much pressure strips paint and can damage the wood underneath. We adjust our technique based on what we're working with to ensure safe, effective cleaning.
Green algae streaks are the most common complaint. They start small and spread quickly, especially on shaded elevations. Black mould spots appear around vents and joints where moisture accumulates. General dirt and pollution leave a grey film over everything. Cobwebs fill soffit vents and look unsightly from below.
Some UPVC fascias develop a chalky appearance over time—this is UV degradation of the plastic surface. Cleaning helps but won't completely reverse the damage. If your fascias are badly degraded, cleaning will improve them but they'll never look brand new again. It's worth managing expectations on older UPVC that's been neglected for years.
Fascia and soffit cleaning works brilliantly alongside gutter cleaning. We're already up on ladders clearing gutters, so it makes sense to clean the fascias at the same time. Many customers book both services together—it's more efficient and often works out cheaper than booking them separately.
Window cleaning is another natural combination. Clean windows and clean fascias make a huge difference to how your property looks from the street. Some customers have us do the full exterior—windows, fascias, soffits, and gutters—as an annual spring clean. It's a cost-effective way to keep everything looking its best.
Most Dublin properties benefit from fascia cleaning every 2–3 years. North-facing elevations that don't get much sun might need it more often because algae grows faster in damp, shaded conditions. Properties surrounded by trees also need more frequent cleaning due to moss spores and organic debris.
If you're selling your property, fascia cleaning is a smart investment. It's relatively inexpensive and makes a noticeable difference to kerb appeal. First impressions matter, and grubby fascias give the impression of a poorly maintained property even if everything else is perfect.
